Surf’s Up

While most eyes will be on Yankee Stadium in October, earlier this fall Nike’s Bowery Stadium played host to Dark Sun, an exhibition by photographer Ari Marcopoulos. For two weeks, the MKTG-designed space was adorned with black and white pictures of New York’s burgeoning surf scene and wave-shaped sculptures that doubled as skate ramps.

MKTG INC 4 Good: We’re Good People, We Swear

MKTG INC believes in the power of community and giving back. That’s why we’ve launched MKTG INC’s charitable arm, MKTG INC 4 Good.
For this year’s initiative, we’ve partnered with TopSpin. TopSpin has a 2011 fundraising goal of $1 million, which will benefit 11 youth and educational charities in each host city (New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles). In addition to a cash donation, MKTG INC will provide in-kind program management services, will handle development and production, will provide support in the procurement of sponsorships and will be responsible for creative design for program events. Google Us

Flight delayed? Good. If you’re taking to the skies on Virgin Atlantic, it’ll give you more time to play around with Google’s new Chromebook. Event Marketer did a nice write up of the program MKTG developed with Google to drive awareness of its soon-to-launch laptop. Lucky airline passengers and guests of New York’s Ace Hotel can get their hands on these sleek PCs from now until the end of September.
