With the countdown to the holiday break in full effect, we wanted to make sure all of our fantastic followers are well equipped to bring the holiday cheer. Show off your hospitality and bartending skills with the below list of holiday cocktails that will be sure to wow your friends and family.
1 1/4 ounces Zacapa Rum 23
1/2 ounce Pedro Ximenez Sherry
5 ounces Hot Cocoa
Grated Cinnamon and Cracked Pink Peppercorn for Garnish
Combine rum, sherry and hot cocoa into a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Pour contents into glass mug. Garnish with grated cinnamon and pink peppercorn.

teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 orange peel
5 dashes Angostura bitters
1 1/2 ounces Bulleit bourbon
1 1/2 ounces apple cider
Muddle sugar, peel and bitters until sugar dissolves. Add bourbon and apple cider and add ice.
1 ¼ ounces Tanqueray® London Dry
½ ounce almond syrup
½ ounce heavy cream
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Shake vigorously and pour into a coupe glass. Garnish with star anise.

1.5 oz. Captain Morgan® Original Spiced Rum
4 oz. ginger beer
2 sprig(s) mint
2 lime wheels
Muddle a mint sprig and lime wheel in the bottom of a tall glass. Add rum and ginger beer. Garnish with mint and lime.

The Ketel Fig & Rosemary
1.5 oz. Ketel One Oranje® Flavored Vodka
1 tsp. Dalmatia original fig spread
1 small branch of rosemary
0.25 oz. fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz. simple syrup
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Dry shake Ketel One Oranje flavored vodka, fig spread and rosemary in a mixing glass. Add lemon juice and simple syrup and shake with ice. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and Angostura bitters.

We can officially add another successful TopSpin Charity event into the books! Last night at the Metropolitan Pavilion, TopSpin and MKTG welcomed celebrities, industry executives and ping-pong champions to celebrate together and raise money for charity. TopSpin raises awareness and provides funds for exceptional nonprofits that provide educational opportunities for under-served youth.
Celebrity guests included; Chris McCullough of the Brooklyn Nets, John Wallace former NY Knicks player, Professional golfer Seema Sadekar and Olympic gold medalist and 3 time WNBA Champion, Swin Cash. This year’s sponsors included Effen Vodka, Cupcake, Anheuser Bush, NBA Cares and Coca Cola.
Last nights event was MKTG and TopSpin’s fifth collaboration for the annual event. Similarly in years past, restaurant vendors came and served sample bites of their best dishes while guests had the opportunity to peruse the silent auction, take photos against the step & repeat and of course play some ping-pong! There have even been some rumblings of this being “the best TopSpin event yet.” We’ll take it!
Last week we told you about our highly competitive 3rd annual Dip Off in Atlanta. As soon as we posted about it, we immediately received requests for the winning recipes. Without any further ado, here are our winners that you can now steal in order to impress everyone at your holiday parties and family gatherings. Enjoy!!!
The Champion – Sausage Addiction by Peter Pearce
- 1 lb of country sausage, browned in a pan, and drained
- 8 oz of cream cheese/cubed
- 8 oz of sour cream
- 1 8 oz can of Rotelle (hot)
- 1 additional can of hot green chilies (4oz)
- Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
After sausage is browned, mix all ingredients in a pan, and stir together under med/low heat until cream cheese is melted. Serve warm (crock pot ideal).
1st Runner Up – Crock Pot White Pizza Dip by Christine Ralph
- Prep time: 5 mins
- Cook time: 2 hours
- Total time: 2 hours 5 mins
- 1 envelope Good Seasons® Garlic & Herb Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix
- 1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
- 1 cup (8 oz.) ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup (1 oz.) chopped pepperoni
- 1 loaf of Italian or French bread, sliced or cut into bite size pieces
- In a small bowl combine envelope of garlic & herb recipe, mix, sour cream, ricotta cheese, ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
- Lightly spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
- Spoon mixture into slow cooker.
- Sprinkle remaining ¼ cup mozzarella cheese on top.
- Place lid on and cook on low 2-3 hours.
- Before serving stir well.
- Serve with bread slices or bread bite size pieces
2nd Runner Up – Herbed Shrimp Dip by Philip Duncanson
- 1/2 pound peeled and deveined frozen shrimp (any size), thawed
- 1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
- 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
- 2 scallions, coarsely chopped, plus more for garnish (optional)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest, plus 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon of smoked paprika
- Coarse salt and ground pepper
- Crostini, crackers, or crudites, for serving
- Fit a large saucepan with a steamer basket, and fill with 1 inch water; cover and bring to a boil. Add shrimp; cover and cook, tossing once, until opaque throughout, 30 seconds to 4 minutes (depending on size of shrimp). Immediately transfer to a colander, and run under cold water to stop cooking. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels, then finely chop and add smoked Paprika.
- In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, sour cream, mayonnaise, scallions, parsley, and lemon zest and juice; season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate shrimp dip until chilled, at least 30 minutes (and up to 2 days). Serve shrimp dip garnished with scallions, if desired, alongside crostini, crackers, or crudites.

One of our favorite pre-Thanksgiving Atlanta traditions – the MKTG Dip Off – took place last week in front of another enthusiastic crowd of judges. This year featured a dozen dips from the always-a-crowd-pleaser buffalo chicken dip to an addicting peanut butter cup desert dip.
However, for the 3rd consecutive year the ultimate honor went to Atlanta Boss Man and General Manager Peter Pearce who wowed us with a Carolina Heritage Pork (Addiction) Dip which included foodie-loving ingredients such as Artisanal Cream Cheese and Free Range Sour Cream. Peter’s name will be forever engraved into the official MKTG Dip Off Champions Cup!

Last night Nike+ NYC officially unveiled their new Thursday Night Football “Color Rush” jerseys for the Jets vs. Bills game. In the week leading up to the jersey unveil, Nike+ NYC hosted a series of “Color Rush” themed runs throughout the city. Last night Nike trainer Knox Robinson led a 4.5 mile run through the city which ended at Midtown bar Snaffu 28. Runners were greeted with food and drink and of course, a live streaming of the Jets vs. Bills game!

During Portland Cocktail Week, Tanqueray sponsored three separate nights of activations. The Tanqueray lounge was a juice lounge for bartenders to relax, unwind, and charge their phones at our charging station. Green Leaf Juicing Company sponsored the juice portion of the lounge with sample giveaways plus a bottle giveaway for each bartender’s favorite juice. Rachel Ford aka “Lady Tanqueray,” hosted a meet and greet to speak to Tanqueray and pass out 50MLs of Tanqueray London Dry that bartenders could add to their choice of juice.
The Sensory Aesthetics of Garniture
Lynette Marrero and Rachel Ford led this two-hour session for two groups of 15 students. The seminar focused on the history of gins, importance of garnitures, and the best methods to prepare garnishes as well as techniques and trends.
Tanqueray Dinner at 23Hoyt
Tanqueray hosted dinner for 35 students, trainers and teachers while Rachel Ford spoke to the four cocktails that were going to be featured that evening. The featured gins of the evening were Tanqueray Bloomsbury, Booth’s, Tanqueray No. TEN and Tanqueary.
Bulleit sponsored a lunch during Portland Cocktail Week and collaborated with 4 local vendors to create Bulleit-inspired menus, products and services for guests to experience. The local vendors included: Blue Star Donut, Ruby Jewel Ice Cream, Rudy’s Barber Shop and Portland Beard Company
The Blueberry Bourbon Basil Donuts and Bourbon Pecan Ice Cream were a hit with consumers. Rudy’s Barber Shop offered complimentary beard trims and Portland Beard Company distributed free samples and beard oils for purchase. Attendees experimented with the Maple Bourbon Sauce that was placed on all picnic tables, pairing it with burgers and sandwiches that were provided by food trucks.

Many offices have a little fun with Halloween. However, MKTG Atlanta continues to take to another level year after year with elaborate decorations and costumes – both of which can net our employees big cash prizes!
But it isn’t just about the adults here as a couple of dozen family members (and growing every year!!) are invited into our warehouse for a fun costume party complete with office-wide trick-or-treating. Check out some of the great photos and a spooky video from this year’s festivities!
In order to modernize Opel’s brand image and position its Adam car as the lifestyle partner of women, MKTG created the 1st claw machine with facial recognition technology! In this machine, “Adam” dolls were used as the prize that consumers attempted to grab!
The state of the art technology used sensors for facial recognition. Depending on which direction you moved your head, the claw would move in the same direction. When you opened your mouth, the claw went down to reach for a doll.
If successful, you had the chance to shop for 30 minutes escorted by a “baggy boy” or “Adam”… who later drove the winner home in an Opel Adam!
The campaign was available in 20 shopping malls across France, during 10 weeks and allowed more than 11,300 women to participate. 2,920 lucky winners were escorted during their 30-minute shopping trip by one of 15 baggy boys while 600 lucky winners were driven home in an Opel Adam.
