MKTG Atlanta FUNN DAY! Showing Some Smyrna Love

without comments

atlantafunnday

MKTG Atlanta ended the summer with their annual FUNN DAY! (which is apparently so much fun, it’s worth two ‘n’s). This year’s day of FUNN was a ‘Road Rally’ scavenger hunt that tested MKTGer’s knowledge of their local Smyrna community. The task broke everyone up into teams responsible for driving around town and collecting points via a Polaroid or physically gathering clues. Challenges showed some love to local Smyrna businesses- anything from stopping by Kenny’s Great Pies for a highly-touted KeyLime Mini, snapping a group photo with a waitress or bartender at Doc’s Food & Spirits or a snagging a scorecard from Legacy & Fox Creek golf course. After collecting all the clues, the winning team was revealed: congrats to Team #3 led by Andrew Knutson/Peter Pearce, Co-Captains Julie Weyandt/Natalie Cerone and all-stars Ebony Caison and Anthony Breaux! An afternoon scavenging on the road can muster up an appetite and the Atlanta crew retreated back to their HQ to celebrate making the most of their local community.  Now, who’s in the mood for a slice of Kenny’s Key Lime pie?!

Atlanta Let The Dogs Out

with one comment

Photo Jun 23, 4 12 22 PM

As one of the many perks that makes our office a Top Workplace in Atlanta, we are proud to have an “open dog policy” every business day! And while we enjoy having a dog or two around the office during the average workday, we wanted to celebrate national Take Your Dog To Work Day by inviting all of our 4-legged friends for a day of treats, play, and cake.

On Thursday June 23rd, we hosted our very first annual MKTG Dog Day where we had 14 dogs come to hangout all day. In our warehouse we fenced off their own off-leash play area while every dog went home with special gifts including an MKTG sports jersey! Check out some of the photos because who doesn’t love tons of photos of dogs in the office?

Special thanks to Paisley, Toro, Pippy, Cocoa, Jackson, Clover, Boomer, Yoda, Guinness, Daisy, Ivy, Cooper, Samson, Ginger, and Ace for bringing their positive attitudes to MKTG Atlanta!

with 2 comments

MKTG ATL Top Workplaces

It is with great pleasure that we announce that we have once again been named as a Top Workplace in Atlanta!!! This designation is earned through employee surveys and employee surveys alone so it is a true testament to our rewarding work and our fun agency culture.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be named one of Atlanta’s top workplace for the 2nd year in a row”, says Peter Pearce, GM of MKTG Atlanta. “Given this award is based on employee sentiment, we’re very proud that the work environment we’ve created, and the values we live everyday have delivered against our goal to be a great place to go to work!”

Thanks [again] to the Atlanta Journal Constitution for recognizing MKTG as a Top Workplace for the second year in a row. We couldn’t agree more!

Dentsu Aegis Network Sport & Entertainment won two prestigious European Sponsorship Association (ESA) Excellence Awards on Thursday 11 February, 2016 at the annual European Sponsorship Association awards ceremony, held at the Café de Paris in London. The Awards celebrate successful sponsorship campaigns in all sectors – sport, culture, entertainment, media, community and corporate responsibility.

Their long standing work with British Gas’ ‘Sponsorship of British Swimming’ was awarded the coveted title of ‘Sport Sponsorship of the Year’. British Gas’ ‘Sponsorship of British Swimming’ was duly recognised for a fantastic sponsorship that has spaned six years since 2009. Along the journey British Gas helped over 100,000 children to swim, provided 1.5 million free swims and supported elite athletes on the world stage.

Dentsu Aegis Network also added to this sporting success with a ground-breaking win in the music space which shows the true breadth of DAN’s offering in Sport & Entertainment.

Working in partnership with The Story Lab UK, their work for Microsoft Lumia was awarded the top prize in the ‘Multi National’ category following a comprehensive judging process that evaluated sponsorship campaign entries from across Europe.

Their work for Microsoft was focused on driving the perception of Lumia being seen as a creative brand to a cultural relevant audience across six key European markets.

Clean Bandit, a band on the rise and with global appeal, were looking for help on their next music video. They spotted a perfect opportunity to build the phone and all its capabilities into their creative process. The music video went on to be Clean Bandit’s most successful launch to date and it can be viewed here! Skip to end to see their three part ‘making of’ documentary showing how we made it all happen.

The Jose Cuervo Tradicional Mural Project is all about honoring Hispanic art and culture here in the US. But last month the biggest honor of them all went to our winning muralist — Adriana Garcia of San Antonio, Texas.

Launched in August 2012, the Mural Project culled 10 artists representing 10 US states from a vast canvas of applicants. The 10 finalists were then asked to create a 5x10ft mural that brought to life their particular vision of a better world for their city. The winner was to be selected by vote, so since October MKTG INC has hosted gallery events in each artist’s city, allowing them to showcase previous works and gain support for the voting phase of the program. Fans voted for their favorite piece on the Jose Cuervo Tradicional Facebook page.

On April 17, the writing was on the wall for winner Adriana, who was awarded $15,000 for herself and $15,000 for her selected nonprofit, the San Antonio arts organization Centro Cultural Aztlan. More than 200 guests came out to support Adriana’s work in a fun and inspiring rewards ceremony. “Felicitaciones” to Adriana!
