Smirnoff House at EDC Orlando: #LoveWins

with one comment

It’s been a busy year for MKTG’s Smirnoff team and our client with the success of Smirnoff House, popping up at key EDM festivals throughout the year. This past weekend, the House made its final 2016 appearance at Electric Daisy Carnival, Orlando and it was an extra special event.Smirnoff is a big supporter of the LGBT community, and with this activation being in Orlando, we partnered with Pulse Nightclub, inviting some of their regular DJs to play at the House and be a part of the official lineup. We also had some of the bartenders from Pulse working at the activation and embracing #LoveWins (as beautifully illustrated on the House’s façade).

Even in the rain, the House and garden were packed from start to finish. The reputation of Smirnoff House is definitely getting out there, with it becoming a destination stage that festival attendees specifically seek out.

A Perfect Pairing for PRIDE

without comments

Diageo_Pride

MKTG INC has paired up with Smirnoff and the DIAGEO Rainbow Network to celebrate LGBT Pride Month in the Northeast with Pride Parade Floats, Festivals, and Events taking place throughout the month of June in Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York. The activation theme for 2013 celebrates the progress and ongoing campaign towards Marriage Equality – Every Pairing is Perfect.

With three new sorbet inspired vodkas to stimulate the tastebuds, but not the waistline, Smirnoff Sorbet Light was the perfect brand to make a SPLASH at PRIDE with less than 78 calories per cocktail and three great new flavors – Raspberry Pomegranate, Light Mango Passion Fruit and Light Lemon. The Float celebrates this theme by utilizing three 7-foot inflatable bottles and a recreation of an ice cream booth accompanied by staff dressed in attire that both portrays the sorbet server and embraces the Pride Parade energy. This float has already been a booming part of the Capitol Pride parade in Washington D.C. and the Philly Pride parade in Philadelphia. The float will make its final run in the New York Pride Parade on June 30th.

Outside of the parade, Smirnoff Sorbet Light has partnered with the LGBT Community Center and to host The Center Garden Party located on the Hudson River’s Pier 84. Kicking off Pride Week in New York with over 1,500 supporters, the Garden Party will bring “A Taste of Pride” with 40 restaurants offering samples from their delicious menus and will be complimented by a variety of Smirnoff Sorbet Light specialty cocktails, including a special pairing of 16 Handles Mango Tango Sorbet with Smirnoff Sorbet Light Raspberry Pomegranate….yum!

Be sure to make your way to the NY Pride Parade Sunday June 30th while mixing and matching your Smirnoff Sorbet Light (responsibly!) because you cant go wrong – Every Pairing is Perfect!

On June 24, MKTG INC partnered with the DIAGEO Rainbow Network for the New York Pride Parade. The Rainbow Network, DIAGEO’s LGBT Employee Resource Group, was represented with over 150 marchers, a float (designed by MKTG INC) and a double decker Evita bus (Diageo is a proud supporter of Evita, the Musical).

Beautiful silver painted models danced in the streets and shook up rainbow confetti cocktails for the crowd. Diageo and MKTG INC staff took control of the confetti cannons, showering the thousands of people lining the streets and EVERYONE danced until it hurt.

For the Rainbow Network team there was a lot to celebrate. Diageo’s key brands like Ketel One, Tanqueray and BV Wines continue to invest in LGBT media and nightlife sending positive LGBT messages into mainstream culture.  Diageo also sponsors non-profit organizations like GLAAD, HRC, Out & Equal and the Stonewall Community Foundation.
