 – March Madness is known for creating heart-stopping, awe-inspiring moments as 68 college basketball teams get whittled down to just one that is crowned the N.C.A.A. men’s basketball champion. For this year’s Final Four in Houston, Texas, N.C.A.A. sponsor AT&T worked with Team Epic and MKTG to create an immersive activation at the Final Four Fan Fest designed to help fans feel connected to the game, which ties to the brand’s marketing campaign.

“Our current campaign is all about the ‘Network of You’—how AT&T’s network is personalized and keeps you connected to the things that are important to you any time and any place,” said Enrique Casanova, vice president of Team Epic. “There is probably no other sporting event in this country that creates the roller coaster of emotions that the N.C.A.A. tournament does. So we wanted to see if there’s a way to capture that emotion in a tangible way and show people what it feels like, to give college basketball fans that very future-forward, connected experience.”

This year’s Austin Food + Wine Festival offered more than just a yellow rose of Texas; JW Marriott, as an official sponsor of the event, presented a bold-name lineup of wine and spirit makers to host tasting sessions in their warmly intimate “Meet the Maker” space. The wine and spirits makers included Tito Beveridge from Tito’s Vodka, Nate Weis from Silver Oak & Twomey Cellars, Daniel Barnes from Treaty Oak Distilling, Renee Airy from Duckhorn Vineyards, and David Page from Tequila Herradura. In between tasting sessions, mixologist, JW Marriott partner and Tippling Bros. co-founder Tad Carducci served up specialty cocktails to highlight some of the brands from the tasting sessions.

During the festival, more than 3000 festival-goers stopped by the “Meet the Maker” tent, including chefs Tim Love, Richard Blais, Jenn Louis, Ken Oringer and Steve McHugh.

The Jose Cuervo Tradicional Mural Project is all about honoring Hispanic art and culture here in the US. But last month the biggest honor of them all went to our winning muralist — Adriana Garcia of San Antonio, Texas.

Launched in August 2012, the Mural Project culled 10 artists representing 10 US states from a vast canvas of applicants. The 10 finalists were then asked to create a 5x10ft mural that brought to life their particular vision of a better world for their city. The winner was to be selected by vote, so since October MKTG INC has hosted gallery events in each artist’s city, allowing them to showcase previous works and gain support for the voting phase of the program. Fans voted for their favorite piece on the Jose Cuervo Tradicional Facebook page.

On April 17, the writing was on the wall for winner Adriana, who was awarded $15,000 for herself and $15,000 for her selected nonprofit, the San Antonio arts organization Centro Cultural Aztlan. More than 200 guests came out to support Adriana’s work in a fun and inspiring rewards ceremony. “Felicitaciones” to Adriana!
